Scholarshipped!

We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2010 Clambake Society Scholarship: Gabrielle Katherine-Awesome Boehm! On May 16th, the fourth annual Clambake Society Scholarship was presented to Gabby at the RHS Awards Night. While she owes much of her success to her trusty steed, Senor X, he was unable to attend. The applicants this year were better than ever, and we thank everybody for their great entries. While we won’t be releasing actual vote totals, the civics-minded among you might like to know that we use instant-runoff voting to make our final selection, and this year’s results were a textbook example of why it’s valuable. It was truly a great competition — four different people were in first place at different stages. Thanks, congratulations, and good luck to all of you.

Fundraisered!

Andrew Ruetten, Joel McReynolds, and Gabby Boehm were excellent bowlers before they were born. Pictured here at the 2010 Clambake Society Scholarship Shakedown Hoedown.

On May 15th, The Clambake Society threw our first annual fundraiser dinner at the Rhinelander Country Club. In attendance were the top three applicants for the 2010 scholarship, and the first-ever recipients of the 1986 Ten Pin Classic trophy for Fifth Place: Andrew Ruetten, Joel McReynolds, and Gabrielle Boehm. There were also appearances by most of the Rhinelander glitterati, about 18 members of the Clambake Society, and a single paparazzo.

2010 Scholarship!

For 2010, The Clambake Society is giving a out $1500 scholarship to a Rhinelander-area senior. The scholarship will be awarded on RHS Scholarship Night, May 16th.
